Am i getting old or what? Everyone that i meet and chat to is either 24 or 26....not even 1 is close to my age. Even my colleagues they range around that age. Does this mean i should be somewhere else where all people of my age are? What happened to me, where was I when everybody was doing whatever they did.....all of a sudden i see myself surrounded by 24 and 26 yr olds..............................................................................................................................................................................Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I wanna scream.
I am soo used to being the youngest in my group, class, home....now being the big sis is something else maan....

Staying alone
I have heard this conversation with most of my friends and i keep getting the same answer. Why do people stay alone either in a flat or town house....For sure some people are thinking what is the question here? Because if you are not married you should staying alone. The real question is staying alone as nice as people make us to believe?
I have posed this question to other people before, and the answer i got was that, it is good sometimes because you get your space...you know sometimes you just wanna be alone, i suppose we all have those moments. But then what if you want company?. This other friend of mine was saying when you are staying alone you phone bill is likely to be high, because everytime you wanna share something you have to call someone, if you are watching TV, listening to Radio, paging a magazine..if you wanna share what you have just read, seen, heard you have to call. The last time to speak to someone is at 4.30 at work when you say Bye to colleagues, when you get to the house, its quiet and lonely.
It becomes worse if you don't have a BF or GF because in a weekend it is possible that none of your friends thinks of calling you, maybe because they are busy....so this means if no-one calls you in that weekend you will be quiet from Friday afternoon until Monday morning. Shuuuu
Is this true guys? i wanna hear your views

Halala HHP!!!!
Wow!!! I must confess when i heard that HHP was one of the people that were going to participate in this season's Strictly come dancing, i thought to myself "say what". You know moss dancing is one of those sports that when you think about them, you think beauty, glamour, slim, muscles...so i didn't see some of those with HHP. Until their first dance...he proved me wrong.
The guy is good or should i say the guy always make sure that he gives 100% in everything that he does!!! Remember when Azania was on maternity leave and celebrities were called to host the breakfast show....HHP was the best, well according to me. HHP and Tumisho were my best presenters. And now he proved the stereo types about dancing wrong as well and he took a trophy....oh my God!!!! and he is a good musucian as well
Halala HHP...you have done us, me proud brother

Adverts
Don't you guys just love the DBSA advert, the drawing one!!! Wow...for me that advert has got so many messages in one. Firstly it makes me appreciate art, the drawing looks so perfect and good, and i always try and find look closely on how do they they change those drawings from one perfect to another perfect drawing....I did drawing as a subject/course but I was so terrible my Gosh. Maybe that is why I am appreciating even the DBSA advert even more.
Another cool advert is "Da..nc..ing like a white guy"...i laugh all the time they play it. I think the agency that is doing Vodacom adverts is really doing a good job.

Essential services
For sure we have all heard this phrase....essential services especially now that the government employees are on strike or stay away if you choose to call it that. Government is saying people who work in essential services should not participate in strike....>>>reason being that if nurses go on strike most people will suffer and we mught even loose more people in hospitals (ICU...)but now why is government only aware now that these people are in essential services??? are they not supposed to prevent these things from happening other than being reactional.....
What is the incentive do these people get for working in essential services. Because as far as i know they are also underpaid just as the rest of the public service people. Government has got a way of forcing health workers to work even when they are not certisfied with the conditions...and all the time they treaten them?? why is this? Is it because of the Oath they signed when they grauted from nursing colleges??? I don't think these people are treated fairly. Remember what happened in KwaZulu Natal at the beginning of this year or end of last year, when most nurses participated on strike, then they were served with letters expelling them...and later on they were re-instated. What drama was this all about??? Trying to teach thema a lesson or what???
I think Government should try and meet health professionals half way to avoid them taking part in the strike action. If essential services is sooo important, remuneration should reflect that and nurses will not even think about striking...and we will have peace and no need to SADF ti be nurses in our hospitals

Rugby: a sport for those who can afford
The past weekend has been a very exciting weekend with both semi finals playing in South Africa....now the South African teams will be playing final. Great news for the country and for our national team.
How does one get to enjoy Rugby if they cannot afford? they play their matches on Supersport which happened to be a pay channel, their tickets are not so cheap...then if you are an ordinary South African who is doing an ordinary job does this mean you can not support Rugby? I think the amount of money you earn automatically disqualifies you from favouring certain sports with Rugby included

Sad---Doobsie

I felt very bad yesterday when i woke up to the sad news that Lindiwe Chibi has passed away. Why? why? you know what makes me more sad is that after she suffered like this, for such a long time, the mother watched the daughter suffering helplessly, everyday, every hour and every minute. After all the suffering she dies. Why did she have to go through all that pain if she was going to die anyway? I am not sure who to blame...but i want to blame someone...
Why did that guy shoot Lindiwe? unfortunately the country will never know, although its not really our business but i think family deserves to know.
There is too much bad news in this country, Look what happened to Rasoege(sorry for wrong spelling) Nkuna's girlfriend...This is one story that is confusing me because I am not sure what to believe anymore. Police believe that Nkuna killed the policewoman, but Nkuna is denying this...Police saw Rasoege's blood in Nkuna's car but Nkuna did not deny that it is her blood but all he says is that it is because they had sex in the car...so the blood is from the SEX....just one statement (is the amount of blood not suppose to give a hint here?. I might be wrong but i think Nkuna killed Rasoege...he must just tell the country where is the body.
Can somebody tell us where is Rasoege's body....its too much!!!.

Feedback from Interview
Yha, it went very well shame yhazi. She aasked the basic questions...like why i do it?, who introduced me to it? how often do i post articles?, what sort of topics do i talk about?, what topics interest me from other people's blogs? Is there a possibility of this growing and stuff like that?, Can commercial business use this medium? how else can a person use this platform other than saying their views.....yha whole of those sort of questions....nothing hectic
But it was good..Not qure though if I am looking forward to the shooting....

School....wuuuuhaaa
School can be a bit traumitising...or maybe traumatising is not the right word can be frustrating. But sometimes it can be real fun. I have been very frustrated by school over the past 2 months or so...assignment due dates, tests...group discussions ...all these thing need time, preparations ...a lot of preparations....lots of reading. I am not sure I am fan of reading text books...but funny enough i always put myself in these situations. This is the 3rd time registering after my first diploma(different qualifications and all). But for some reason i do manage to finish them. Why do I keep putting myself in this uncomfortable situation i don't know. Somebody outhere please let me know asseblief.
There were times this year when i though of deregistering this one course which is really frustrating me.......
But then there are moments of feeling great about being at school, like that feeling when you get your assignment back and you have just passed unbelivable well...while you were expecting a 20% you just get 80%!!!! isn't that a great feeling mara? that feeling that makes you wanna continue with school
Whuuuu. full stop

David Bullard
Hey guys have you seen David Bullard's column this sunday? Please fellow bloggers get yourelves some copies to read.....not sure if i should comment or respond to him.
He says we are the columnists wanna be's...i think he is freaking scared of the growing blog zone....are we threatning the man or what? C'mmon David you write a column to get paid and we write because we like, there is no material motivation...we just say it like it is....Are you afraid that you might loose your job sooner than you thought??
I think it is sinking in your head that the writing of columns in the near future might not be treated as a career but as something that one does during their spare time.....extramural activity i think they call it that.
I think i should put a full stop here.

Long weekend
Eish I am sooo looking forward to this long weekend...especially that its even longer than the easter weekend. Eish unfortunately I will be so broke....(do we write broke like this?)I am only getting paid at the last day of the month.....ukusebenzela amaNdiya ke....Anywho i hope to enjoy it to the fullest....cause there are activities all over the show...there is a Diva's concert that I will not be attending how i wish i could attend this concert mara....to be a parent sometimes!!! Yah heartwarmer take your time sister to have kids. There is another one at the Pretoria show grounds...on Friday at the Union building there is Freedom day celebrations...uuuulaaa and a 5km run..I am running that with my kids....hahahah then some artists will perform and the Gauteng Premier will give a speech....then go home...Sat go to class...eish i hate that class...the lecturer can't really not sure yet what I will be doing....but I will be preparing for my long run on the 1st of May..yes there is 42km's run at Centurion.....kubusy people are preparing for Comrades......
Cricket
What happened yesterday? 27 already 5 wickets down in just 10 overs!!! what is this? Professional cricket by professional players who get paid lots to perform better on behlaf of the country. Why mara? what happened to out team. Have you noticed how our team looses if Graeme Smith gets out early..but if he stays for a long time like maybe get about 50 runs or more our team wins. Jacque(sp)Kallis i usually trust this boy with the bet...what happened? out for 5 runs? i don't believe this. You know yesterday I was looking forward to a great cricket game...but even before 5 when i was still at work just checking the score on the internet i was so dissappointed when i saw 27 for 5 in 10 overs...haybo
I must admit though i don't understand the technicalities of cricket...all what I check is the score so maybe there other factors i should consider when i watch the game which will help my smallanyana understanding of the game understand why we lost like that yesterday. We couldn't even finish the overs....50 overs is that a lot.
With that kind of score i knew it was going to be difficult to defend actually there was nothing to be defended there. So i suppose for Australia it was a walk in the park.
I know it was just a match....and i agree when a match is played both participants have a fair chance of winning especially if both sides have a point to prove like Australia and South Africa. South Africa can loose any day against any other country but not Australia....i hate it when we loose to Australia
I wish Malinga all the best in taking out all those Australians.....
Why Graenme...why, why ...why...we can loose but not this bad....that was poor perfomance.....Graeme!!!!! I wanna scream.

Being inlove
Have you ever noticed how good is the feeling of being in love. The smiles...goose bumps...small thoughts..giggling
Its such a beautiful thing. I love being inlove. Is it a sustainable feeling though? or is it a stage that passes with excitement?
My personal feeling is that this kind of feeling is not sustainable at all. We would all like to always feel like that but it doesn't happen. It is just a feeling of excitement which lasts for about a month or two if you are lucky cause with other people it lasts for less than that. But there is another feeling which replaces it...the feeling of knowing you are loved by someone you love....is not this amazing mara...
That can last forever...that feeling of knowing someone cares about you. I like the feeling of loving someone...when you look into their eyes...you just want to melt, when you kiss them you want to cry....when he/she hugs you you feel the heart beating fast...you don't wanna let them go. Its such a beautiful feeling mara to love someone.
I am loving my man at the moment....I am loving him...I am loving him.....

Generations mara
There are a lot of soapies that are currently playing on our small screens at the moment. Isidingo, Scandal, soon to be canned Backstage, generations and many more. Mara generations is the worst of them all. who writes for this soapie? Ok i know soapies are not necessarily depicting our real life buy haybo...generations is worse. Look at what they are doing to Busi (Sbusiso's sister). Can a person in that level MD be so stupid? really now? What is Jack doing in Generations? does the man have a role? no wonder he is quitting...he is too good to keep on loitering around there doing nothing....we miss his good acting skills in theatre. I know generations probably for some actors provide them a stable job which makes sense if you have responsibilities. I also don't like the idea they always portray that rich black dudes are cruckes or they got their money through back doors....or is that so? look at Mashaba...in real life can a person still another person's company...
I like most actors though, they are doing their best, but eish script writes should be more creative. Can't they take notes from the Isidingo guys.....
C'mmon generations, you can do better than that. I mean 20h00 we want to wacth good TV cause that is the time where we are watching TV with kids...something educational, or to laugh about, something that we can all talk about as a family.

TV on Saturday
This Saturday TV was hectic there were SAMA's, cricket (South Africa Vs New Zealand), Soccer as well, it was just too hectic people in the house wanting to watch different things....during break trying other channels...channel hopping was the order of the evening. But TV is good like that.
I must say i enjoyed the SAMA's especially the presenter Kabelo...he did very well (U guys wanna see my number!!). I might not agree with some people that won but that is a different issue altogether for some day. enjoyed seeing those dresses and some perfomances by some local guys. Now Sbu aka Mzekezeke i really didn't understand that whole act of him perfoming remember when it rains, did he actually perform that song because i heard the other white dude singing and then a CD with Sbu smiling and dancing some moves that were not coordinated....so my question is Why did Sbu go in the front? he could have just stayed with the audience and whoever introduced the song acknowledge him....you know that easy.... I really didn't understand the logic behind.
Sister Bettina guys...C'mmon now when are you gonna learn to know your lyrics by heart so you can stop saying wrong words in wrong places....it disturbs the whole perfomance yhazi. Its either you let the CD play and keep quiet mime....until the end or atleast learn your lyrics....its just too messy at the moment. Guyz get your act together, and unfortunately for me i was not hearing them bebheda for the first time.
Shwi noMntekhala...abafana baseHostela....don't believe this, they took the award for the best selling album two times in a row.....the brothers are good shame. Big ups to the guys. By the way did you watch them perfoming in Rebecca's show on Sunday...they have a gospel song.....also maskanda and nice.
Rebecca??? do i need to say anything here.....all i can say is that It is boring maan. maybe i am jealous but it is very boring shame, don't we have other gospel stars that can compete with this lady...cause that is the message I am getting from the SAMA's.
What happened to Mandoza?
Anyway...cricket. Saturday game was very intereting maybe interesting is not the right word it was rather.... (gone to check my dictionary for a word to use). Only if South African had made more runs even if it was mere 200, we could be talking a different language altogether. It was a difficult slow pitch i agree, but Pieterson tried shame.....and i think there was just too much pressure on him to deliver because the pitch needed people who swing the ball rather than fast bowlers so he was the only guy although i think Smith also swings he decided not to bowl that day cause there was just too much pressure for bowlers to take wickets......
But i know South Africa will win tomorrow....Good luck boyz.
Soccer...Isiwelele. I am really not a soccer fan, maybe there is a reason why i don't like soccer it is because i don't understand it ...offside, penalty, handball, etc. Husby has been trying to explain to me the concept of off side for the past few years...i just don't get it sometimes...i get lost all the time. But i have a team that i favour....Bloemfontein Celtics. I started being a serious supporter 2005 when i was in Cape Town....I am worried these days they seem to be unlucky with goals cause they still play very well shame. Viva to the Celtics fan from Bloemfontein. They support their club even when its loosing... Viva to those supporters. There is a play at the State theatre about the celtics supporters, maybe i should go and watch it

House hunting
Is it me or this exercise is one of those that really take long, when you want to buy a house does it take this long to get a house that you really want in the area that you like not forgetting "affordability" can i afford the house of my dreams, can i afford a shelter for my kids, can i afford a shelter over my head or will i rent for life. I am very tired of renting cause at the moment that is the only thing I can afford to do in a posh place if i want to buy then it means i must go to place that i don't even like not because its my choice but because the bank says so.
Am i being a spoilt brat here or what? I am not really looking for something fancy....I am just looking for a shelter for my family....is that too much to ask? But houses that I have been seeing its either the area is not up to scratch or the area is posh but the house itself is sooo small with small bedrooms......will i buy mara??????

Matatiele {Luxeni}
They call it Luxenburg!!!! these days. That is the smallanyana village where I come from situated koMatatiele (not sure whether its KZN or Eastern Cape) but its there somewhere. I went home during the easter weekend to see my mother, father, grand mother, grand father from my father's side....and a whole lot of people from my family and the village. My family is one of those big extended families with lots of people. My father and mum don't stay there cause of work reasons like me, so when he is there all the relatives come and we all sit together at my father's house as a family, so the same thing happened this time again.
The village is still dry as ever, the road to the house oh my God its still bad...terrible thing happened our car was fetched by a breakdown......that is how bad the road is...full of big stones on the way, but something positive has happened, they have running water although its 1 tap shared by about 10 families. This is still better than before when we use to emlanjeni to go fetch water. And yha hee there is electricity, In my village there is electricity..i don't believe this yhazi phela i never imagined my village with electricity cause its one of those deep rural villages surrounded by mountains.
But it was good shame to see my folks, brothers, sisters, cousins, grand parents and everyone that i use to know when I was growing koLuxeni. To be continued

Yfm rules the airwaves
Indeed Yfm rules the breakfast show rush....not that Paul rules the airwaves rather the products of Y rule the airwaves. Thomas aka Bad Boy T, Rude Boy Paul, Sbu aka Mzekezeke are all doing breakfast shows of different radio stations. Stakes are high, they are all competing for the listeners of the breakfast show.
I must admit when i heard the news for the first time i knew that competition will be tough between the 3 guys who at one stage use to work for one station, but what i heard this morning yha.....neh.....boring times for radio are over....i kept on changing from one channel to another just in a space of about 20min....isn;t that what makes radio....keeping your competition on their toes. Looking forward to what the presenter will say next or to the next song they will be playing and their comments....this is exciting!!!!!!
Bob is history and Y is future. During the pat few years Bob was the radio that was known for producing well known top DJ's and presenters (if there is a difference between the 2)...The Tim Modise's of this world, the Bob Mabena's and others, all those are products of Bob. I must say i like the gal or guy...(not sure if s/he is boy or gal) that co-hosts with Thomas.....s/he is a bit interesting or the comments s/he makes are ..........I like Thomas on radio i've been listening to him when he was doing the midday show...the boy has talent.....
Yha....Sbu i was really looking forward to hearing him speaking Zulu.....just as long as he makes sure that he speaks that Zulu fluently with a zulu accent I am cool, cause ubaba uZwelithini akadlali (he takes no-nonsense as far as the language is concerned). After hearing him this morning, hayi shame he is not bad at all...better than what i thought but i think few more classes will help so he stays in good books of uBab'u Zwelithini....
Watch out Sbu....that gal you co-host with.........she might just take the spotlight...she is good.
You are right heartwarmer 5fm should give the breakfast show to Fresh.....(Heartwarmer when you see this, please provide me with a link to your post that talks about this...i think i saw it on Friday but when i browsed through this morning....in a hurry i couldn't find it......i want to acknowledge you dear)
Sorry Heartwarmer i got the link-----http://bio-scoop.blogspot.com/2007/03/rude-boy-bounced-pabi.html

Catch fire
For those who do not know...this is a name of a movie that is currently showing on the big screen. My main interest or the main reason I went to see this movie was because this is a true story and they have used some South African actors. True stories and documentaries always interest me cause I can relate to them, life of ordinary people like my self (sabaltans)
I know people think this is a tired story because these stories have been told, people fighting for democracy..we've seen that, we've seen how people struggled and how people died and how they were spying on each other during the apartheid years etc...
These same stories have been told in different ways and from different angles hence people are tired of hearing them cause all angles have been told and we assume the angles are exhausted so what now? Indeed this is a valid question, it makes sense cause that is the same question I had in my mind when there was a drama playing at SABC 1 called "when we were black". I really did not like it. When i saw it the first thing that came to my mind was excuse me this story is soo tired shame, we have heard enough of this, they had bits of comedy and drama which is a different angle all together of telling a story. I guess that drama was telling the same story as the one that is told by the movie "catch fire" but they are telling the story from different angles.
First of all the two are different because the movie is a true story and it should be depicted as such with no dramatisation of real events. For me the story was very touchy, there were times when i felt like crying it was real emotional. Most of these stories have been told through lives of people that we all know..the Mandela's Sisulu's, Hani's, Mokhaba's and other high profile business people (BEE) yes i agree those are tired, but a life of an ordinary person that we don't even know? that is the part that touched me most, seeing a life of an ordinary man who fought for democracy and the man was not a leader and after we got our democracy he is still not a leader and we don't hear anyone shouting his name.
The only thing i didn't like about the movie though was taking an american guy with an american accent to act the life of (forgot his name sorry) why is that? Is it because our actors cannot act on big screen or what? Are we lacking talent or what? somebody please enlighten me cause i really want to know and i don't understand. I am dissappointed by the producers of the movie...I am sure someone from somewhere in SA could have done a better job and speak a better Xhosa than that guy. Haybo wahy make that guy speak Xhosa mara...was it really necessary?
Yha thanks to a friend of mine who gave me something to blog about, We have different views as far as this movie is concerned. Maybe it is because we were born at different times and experienced life differently at different places and interacted with different people on different levels. Yha eish its good to look at all sides of the story.
Go see the movie and let me know your thoughts!!!!am waiting

This is such an exciting hobby....yha hobby i said it. I started running 2 years ago because of reasons most gals run for to loose weight. Apparently it works and it is a healthy way to loose that extra ....or those extra kilo's. But i have never done it seriously, normally i would run when its close to summer.....(Oct, Nov) stop in Dec cause its just too busy then would not continue until its Winter again then summer start. So all in all in a year i would run for 2 months.
Ok back to the point at hand now, sorry i forgot what i wanted to say. But i just know i was going to talk about how good running is but the points thsweeee. Let me think......................................................................................................... .............................. ............................................... ....................................... ......................................... ...................

Honesty----do guys as in males know the meaning of this word
Really now, do they know the meaning of the word Honesty in a relationship...I've got friends of mine that have been hurt some once and some more than once. Sometimes hurt by the same people who claim to love them over and over again. Kanti what is love..maybe we define this differently as individuals. Does hurting the person you claim to luv qualifies to be called love or are these people doing it in the name of love. Is luv the new hate these days or what? I think it people must be honest with each other in a relationship. For instance if you are married say so...tell her and if you are planning to marry someone else while you are involved with her atleast have a decency of letting her know your intentions. If you have a child from your past relationship tell her cause there is a possibility that you might want to go back to your mother of the child.
Its that easy
Its that easy
